From 23 October there will be changes to the names of several stops and routes
From 23 October there will be changes to the names of bus stops and routes on bus routes No. 21 and 33. On trolleybus route No. 3, a new stop will be introduced, in addition to the change of the name of the terminal stop.
Trolleybuses of route No. 3 in the direction from Centrāltirgus will also stop at the bus route No. 2, 11 and 24 stop “Sarkandaugava” (Tilta iela) This will improve passengers' possibilities to reach their desired destinations in the immediate vicinity of the stop. Passengers will be able to easily transfer from trolleybus route No. 3 to bus route No. 2 to continue their journey towards Vecmīlgrāvis.
The name of the terminal stop of trolleybus route No. 3 “Sarkandaugava” will be changed to “Sarkandaugavas stacija”, while the name of the route will remain the same and will remain “Centrāltirgus – Sarkandaugava”.
For bus route No. 21 in both directions, the stop “Slimnīca “Šmerlis”” will be renamed to “Šmerļa mežs”.
On the bus route No. 33, the name of the terminal will be changed to more accurately describe its location according to the Riga City neighbourhoods. The name of the terminal “Pļavnieki” will be changed to “Dārzciems”, thus the bus route will be named “Dārzciems – Jugla”, while the name of the terminal stop will remain the same – “Lubānas iela”.
